Child Safety Standards

Kin is committed to keeping children safe and to preventing the sexual abuse and exploitation of children. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation ("CSAE") and child sexual abuse material ("CSAM") on our Service. This page describes the standards we uphold and the steps we take to combat CSAE, in line with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and applicable law.

1. Our Commitment

Kin prohibits any content, conduct, or account that facilitates, promotes, or engages in the sexual abuse or exploitation of children. This includes, without limitation:

• Creating, uploading, storing, sharing, or soliciting CSAM;
• Grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or any other exploitation of a minor;
• Sexualizing a minor, or any behavior that endangers a child.

Any account found to be involved in such activity will be removed, and we will report it to the relevant authorities.

2. Age Requirement

Kin is not directed to children. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, as stated in our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.

3. Reporting Child Safety Concerns

We provide clear ways for anyone to report suspected CSAE or CSAM:

• In the app: You can report abusive content, a user, or a safety concern through the reporting and support options available within Kin.
• By email: Contact our child safety team at support@kin-split.app. Please include as much detail as possible so we can act quickly.

Reports concerning child safety are treated as our highest priority and are reviewed promptly.

4. How We Respond

When we become aware of CSAE or CSAM, we act quickly to:

• Remove the offending content;
• Suspend or permanently ban the accounts involved;
• Preserve relevant evidence as required by law;
• Report the matter to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or other appropriate law enforcement and regional authorities.

5. Legal Compliance

Kin complies with all applicable child safety laws in the jurisdictions where we operate, including obligations to report CSAM to the relevant national and regional authorities. We cooperate with law enforcement in the investigation of child safety matters.

7. Updates to These Standards

We may update these Child Safety Standards from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our Service, or applicable law. The "Last updated" date above indicates when these standards were most recently revised.
